About the piece
What it is and how it's built
Golf Across USA is a wall-mounted map of the United States with a recessed pocket cut into every state. Each pocket is sized for a standard golf ball, so you can keep a ball from every state you've played and display all fifty in one place.
The map is layered birch plywood, stacked so the states stand off the field with real depth, and framed in solid stained wood. The states, golfer silhouettes and lettering are all drawn out and cut by hand with a jigsaw, then sanded and painted by hand. There's no CNC and no laser in our shop.
Every board is built to order in Hot Springs, Arkansas after the layout is approved, so no two are exactly alike. Sizing, colors and lettering can be adjusted to fit your wall.

How it works
It's a wall piece you keep adding to
Play the course, keep the ball
Every state gets its own recessed pocket, cut to hold a standard golf ball. Play a round in a new state, pocket a ball from the pro shop, and it goes on the wall.
Press it in, it stays put
The pockets are cut by hand for a snug friction fit. No glue, no hardware. The ball seats flush and holds, and you can pull it back out any time you want.
Watch the map fill up
Empty states are the whole point. The board is a record of where you've played and a list of where you haven't. It gets better every year you own it.
